Our doctors and the Harris Eye Clinic team take even routine eye exams seriously. During a yearly or bi-yearly examination, our patients will receive a patient history review, a series of vision and eye tests, assessments of eye focusing and movement, and an eye health evaluation.
Barry Harris, O.D.
Dr. Barry Harris was born and raised in Senath, Missouri. He received his optometric physician degree from Southern College of Optometry in 1979 with honors. He has been a valued optometrist at Harris Eye Clinic since its inception in 1984.
Dr. Harris has been an active member of the Arkansas optometric and American Optometric Associations professionally. Locally, he is recognized in the community for his work and dedication to giving his patients the best eye care.
Outside of work, Dr. Harris is a member of the paragould country club and loves to play golf. He enjoys taking golf trips with his son. He resides in Paragould with his wife Connie.
F. Evan Button, O.D.
Dr. Button received his undergraduate degree from University of Arkansas in 2015 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology. After graduation, he attended Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK and received his O.D. degree in 2020. He then moved to Blytheville, Arkansas to join the team at Family Eyecare.
Professionally, Dr. Evan Button is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Arkansas Optometric Association. He is a passionate optometrist who serves the community by providing eye care services to his patients. He strives to give patients the best of care by having a good bedside manner during eye examinations. He enjoys all aspects of optometry, including ocular disease, contact lenses, and glasses.
Outside of the office, Evan enjoys being active, playing golf, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Button practices in Blytheville and Osceola. He lives in Blytheville with his wife, Jenny and two dogs.
Jennifer Button, O.D.
Dr. Jenny Button was born and raised in Wichita, KS. She graduated from The University of Kansas with a degree in Exercise Science and received her Optometric Physician degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN.
Dr. Button completed a post-graduate residency in family practice and ocular disease at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry in Tahlequah, OK.
After practicing in Kansas for two years, She got married to our very own Dr. Evan Button and has joined Family Eye Care. Dr. Button enjoys spending time on the lake with family and friends, especially her dogs, being outdoors, and watching Kansas Jayhawks basketball. She resides in Blytheville with her husband and two dogs, Winston and Luna.
Matthew Jones, O.D.
Dr. Jones serves on several committees of the Arkansas Optometric Association including state legal legislative, national legal legislative, career guidance and AOP-PAC. While on the board of directors from 2011-2019, he served as President of the ArOA from 2017-2018. He is also a Treasurer of the board of directors for the Association’s charitable foundation, Vision Arkansas.
Dr. Jones is a volunteer for the American Optometric Association currently serving on the State Government Relations Committee. He is also a volunteer for SECO International serving on the Board of Directors as the Arkansas Trustee.
In March 2021, he became the first Arkansas licensed optometrist to perform anterior segment lasers within the state. Certified in Advanced Procedures, Dr. Jones helped lead the push legislatively to secure increased access to eyecare procedures for his patients and patients across Arkansas.
Politically, Dr. Jones serves as legislative keyperson for numerous state representatives and senators. He coordinates over 30 state legislative campaigns and works with other ODs to secure campaign contributions. On the national level, he is keyperson with his U.S. Congressman, Rick Crawford, and has secured his co-sponsorship on all AOA efforts.
Dr. Jones serves on the Brandon Burlsworth Foundation board of directors. The primary program of the foundation, Eyes of a Champion, provides eyewear and vision exams throughout Arkansas and surrounding states.
In June 2018 at Optometry's Meeting in Denver, Dr. Jones was awarded the American Optometric Association's Young Optometrist of the Year. In March 2017, Dr. Jones was recognized as the Young Optometrist of the South by SECO International. He also received the Arkansas Young Optometrist of the Year Award in 2012.
Dr. Matthew Jones received his undergraduate degree from the University of Evansville in 2005 with a B.S. in Biochemistry. From there, he attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN graduating with honors in 2009.
In the community, Dr. Jones is a member of the Blytheville Rotary Club where he previously served as treasurer. He is the secretary/treasurer of the Great River Charitable Clinic board of directors where he provides free eye care services and materials for the under-served. He also serves as a board member on the Greater Blytheville Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. Jones practices in Blytheville and Osceola and is Board Certified by the American Board of Optometry. He and his wife, Allison, and daughters, Sutton & Elliott, live in Blytheville
Our staff and opticians are thoroughly trained and knowledgeable in all aspects of the optical field, including selecting frames that best suit the patient's face and style, recommending the appropriate lens and lens options, repairing eye glasses and sunglasses, and fabricating spectacles in plastic, metal, and rimless frames and all aspects of the fitting of contact lenses.
